On September 11th, I lost my best friend and my sister-in-law in the collapse of WTC 2. It has been the hardest thing in my life to live with and accept. Yet, out of the ashes of such horrendous violence and hatred also came love. The Remembrance Flag is a symbol of that love. I will fly it proudly in the memory of my sister-in-law, all the loved ones who were lost on that day, and for Americans everywhere. Thank you and God Bless!

We do not have your flag yet and if you could get one to us, we would be so honored. My sister-in-law's name is Laura Marie, she worked for AON Consultants on the 101st floor of the South Tower. When I read your story and your inspiration for the flag, I just cried. It is so incredible to see such goodness emerge from such a horrendous act. Thank you again, Gwen.

Sincerely,
Maria

We received your flag this morning. We will hang it outside our home as a symbol of all that happened to us personally, and as a Country on September 11th, 2001.

What an incredible gift you have given us. Now, when we see your flag, we will remember more than the horror, pain and grief of that fateful September morning ... We will remember that out of the ruins, emerged beautiful, generous and loving spirits such as yours.

God bless you, Gwen. We will never forget this beautiful tribute to all our loved ones who were lost that day.

Sincerely,
Mike & Maria
