My name is Ken Thompson and I am the Director of External Affairs for
the Oklahoma City National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of
Terrorism. Last week on the 7th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing
we hosted 19 family members and first responders from the WTC. We were
given a gift from Anthony Gardner with WTC United Family Group and Monica
Iken with September's Mission of a Remembrance Flag. It is a wonderful
flag and is now in the entry of our Institute over the receptionist
desk for every visitor to see.
This means a great deal to me. I lost my mother in the Oklahoma City
bombing and have been to New York eight times to assist those in need.
I have developed great relationships with most of the major family groups
in NYC. We have tried to become a shoulder to lean on as families move
through the grieving process.
I would like to purchase a flag just like the one given to us. I would
also like to frame it and have it in my office so the world will know
that terrorism won't win. Please let me know how I can best obtain a
2' by 3' flag with "God Bless America" stitched on.
Thank you for all of the work you have done to make sure we never forget
each individual lost on September 11th.
