Our WTC Families support group emailed me that you were donating
Remembrance Flags to family members of victims. My brother, Thomas H.
BowdenJr., killed on 9-11-01. He worked on the 104th Floor of WTC1 for
Cantor Fitzgerald.

I would be honored if you could send two flags -- one for me and one for my
parents. We are so very grateful for the outpouring of patriotic and caring
gestures that commenced immediately after this national, and yet deeply
personal to us, tragedy. Tom's wife and babies, my parents, my two surviving
brothers and I have all received so many kindness' in the wake of 9/11 -
cards, notes and emails from people all over the world, prayers, etc.

I know some families are upset at what they see as a "marketing of our
sorrow" when companies such as yours creates a reminder or remembrance of
9-11. I disagree. I believe that, for the most part, you and companies
such as yours, are sincerely trying to help a shocked and saddened nation
find a way to express itself, to remember the victims with dignity, and to
ensure we never forget and allow our nation to become lazy in protecting its
citizens or too arrogant to believe it could happen on our soil.

Best regards,
Kathy Bowden
