My name is John Cartier. I am the older brother of James Cartier who was on the 105th FL of the South tower at the world trade center. The loss of my younger brother, James even now is so very hard to put into words. I spent almost 8 months at ground 0 looking to bring him home to my Mom and dad. I was never able to do that. We found him later on though; DNA. But I do gain comfort in knowing I was there to bring other sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, home to their loved ones. Your work is important so that people will never forget. I know there will come a day when someone will ask you why do you still make these flags, Maybe I can help you:
Let them understand when they ask you that question. Ask them, after Sept 11, did they go out and buy an American flag and hang it high for all to see; If so, ask them if they remember the box that it came in. When they say they do, then tell them, that is how we are still, to this day, bringing home our sons and daughters and mothers and fathers; in small boxes no bigger than their flag box. I'm sorry if this is a strong e-mail but I so want the world to know who my brother was and you are helping in doing that.
